Apprenticeship training - Customer service spotlight

With hundreds of courses across many disciplines, Apprenticeship training is accessible to lots of roles, particularly in the University. We currently have employees on around 26 courses - today we look into the Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship with Abingdon & Witney college.

Dale Cherry

Dale has now completed the Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship, back in 2019. Through his annual development review, training options were identified and this apprenticeship course came to light. As Dale had previously completed the Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship, it seemed like a natural progression.

Dale explains that "The course gave [him] an insight and understanding of how companies can improve and maintain good relationships and continue to give satisfaction to their customers"

Apprenticeship training provides benefits to both the employee and the department. Dale says "by completing this apprenticeship it has enhanced [him]self and also [his] contribution to the department". Dale is still with Security Services which he enjoys, so doesn't see any changes in the near future.

By completing this apprenticeship it has enhanced myself and also my contribution to the department.
